I'm always talking about transformation. Cornell, who I've known since we were 15, called me tonight from California. He, like me, is an attorney who can't stop talking about the mind, the subconscious and how to create a life we can love.

I told Cornell that I'm so sick and tired of us, as a people, thinking we're inferior. We can't wait for anyone else to tell us we're okay, that we're enough, that's our job to do. I can tell you, as I dark skinned sister I made that decision, that is, I decided I wasn't going to ask other people if I could be beautiful...instead I'm gonna take beauty for myself.

I don't know about you, but I'm frickin' determined to own my life...and to live life on MY terms, not according to the infamous "they." Won't you join me in defining you for you!

That's my rant for the night. Smooches!
