So, here's the question:
With all of the preachers we have produced throughout African-American history (and I'm one of them), with all of our degrees, and with all of the money we've spent acquiring them, with all of the funds we've raised and all of the ministries (and buildings) we've built; with all of the conferences and conventions and seminars and revivals and confabs and humongous congregations we've built; and certainly with all of the tithes and offerings we've raised, is God really getting His money's worth? Are we, as they inquire about Presidents who presume to take us "higher" with each of their terms, any "higher" now than we were before we had "pretty preachers" and "cute clergy"? Are we, as the drunk man asked, after staggering into one of those red-hot revivals and all of the powerful preachers were done casting the drunken demon out of him, "saved, now?"
